The dog took the front seat on the sofa, which told me most of what I needed to know about the family structure.
Rob, Clara, Jess and Hannah kept this one at home — blue sofa, bookshelves, garden, pool, dog with excellent placement instincts. No grand location. No heroic march through Singapore humidity. Just everyone where they already belonged.

The best family sessions usually have a little bit of order and a little bit of evidence that the order is temporary. This had both.

Jess brought the easy grin. Hannah brought the softer, quieter frames. Rob and Clara managed the rare parental achievement of looking relaxed while clearly still being responsible for the entire operation.

And the dog appeared often enough to suggest legal representation.

That was the whole point, really. A family at home, photographed before the kids get taller, the schedule gets worse, and the dog renegotiates the sofa rights.
